Introduction
Flowmag WMAG21 Electromagnetic series intelligent electromagnetic flowmeter is made according to the law of electromagnetic induction to measure conductivity fluids flowing in pipes such as well water, sea water, wastewater, sludge water, drinking water, acid liquid, food porridge, syrup, sugar water and others.
This liquid is widely used in the food and beverage industry, sewage treatment, river or rainwater drains, water treatment, petrochemicals, power plants, mining, agriculture, automotive industry, cooling systems and other industries.
Flowmag WMAG21 electromagnetic flow meter has 2 main parts, namely electromagnetic flow sensor and electromagnetic flow transmitter or called Converter. Each part has its own characteristics and functions.
Electromagnetic Flow Sensor
The electromagnetic flow sensor has a function to capture the flow that has conductivity by using a pair of electrodes and sends a signal to the converter which will be processed according to Faraday’s law.
Flowmag WMAG21 Electromagnetic Flow Sensor has 2 types of installation, namely :
- Inline Electromagnetic Flow Sensor
- The installation system is carried out by cutting pipes, while there are several types of connections, namely by flange, thread, wafer and sanitary tri clamp
- Insertion Electromagnetic Flow Sensor
- The installation system is done by perforating the pipe. while the connection is by installing a fitting either with a saddle fitting or welding and the sensor is inserted into the pipe through the fitting. This type of installation is suitable for pipes with large diameters.
Electromagnetic Flow Transmitter or Converter
There are 2 types of flow converters for electromagnetic water meters, namely the compact or integral type. where the way the converter is integrated with the sensor. For the second type, namely the split or remote type where the installation method is separate from the electromagnetic sensor. To connect the converter with the magnetic sensor, you need a cable whose length is adjusted as needed.
